The annual production surveys of farmed fish and shellfish are conducted by Fisheries Research Services (FRS) on behalf of the Scottish Government Marine Directorate (SGMD).

 

The surveys are structured to allow readers to follow trends within the salmon, trout and shellfish industries with data being presented for the past ten years where this information is available. Data from past years have, where required, been reassessed and updated. To allow for direct comparison to data provided in previous years, production information by region is presented in SEERAD defined areas.
